The shoot that I’d like to talk about is Samantha Drone it’s called “Party Girl.” It was a shoot that posted a week ago Monday. You know there are some shoots that are really easy to do and go smoothly. And then there’s some shoots that are so hard to do because you’re asking so much of the model.

This is one of those shoots. It was cold. It was probably 55 degrees at night outside with the breeze blowing and I asked her to get in a fountain. Oh God. Samantha was quite the trooper. She did a great job, she actually willingly did it. She cussed me every step of the way but she totally got in there and did a great job. Her smiles were genuine and pure. She played it for all the world like the drunken girl that got in the fountain with this guy she just met. They were playing and being flirtatious. But when the camera was off, oh my God, you could just see the pain – it was so, so cold.

Lighting wise – it’s always an interesting light scenario when you’re trying to make something look like it’s at night but still interesting. So we rimmed her with some light and wrapped some light around her. I think it came together really, really well. But I just gotta give total credit on this one to Samantha. She totally stepped up, made it real, made it believable.
